Choisi en 7e position de la draft 2011, Bismack Biyombo n’effectuera pas une cinquième saison aux Hornets. Ses dirigeants ont refusé de lui proposer une “qualifying offer”, et le voilà donc free agent non protégé.
Annoncé comme le futur Serge Ibaka, Biyombo a beaucoup déçu depuis son arrivée en NBA même s’il demeure un honnête intimidateur avec 1.5 ct de moyenne en moins de 20 minutes par match.
A 22 ans, le Congolais pourrait accepter un contrat d’un an au salaire minimum chez un candidat au titre pour enfin tenter de lancer sa carrière.
