Non contents d’être proches d’obtenir une franchise WNBA, les dirigeants des Warriors sont en bonne position pour récupérer l’organisation du All-Star Game 2025, rapporte The Athletic.
La candidature de San Francisco prendrait ainsi le meilleur sur celles de Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Phoenix ou encore Atlanta.
Si le dernier All-Star Weekend dans la Baie s’est tenu à Oakland en 2000, il faut savoir que San Francisco n’a plus accueilli cet événement depuis… 1967. Sauf que, 58 ans plus tard, la ville pourra s’appuyer sur des structures presque neuves, puisque le Chase Center a été inauguré en 2019.
Pour rappel, le All-Star Game 2024 se déroulera à Indianapolis, du 16 au 18 février prochain.
